Indian Exports Edge Up in December Even as US Tariffs Weigh (2)

Indian exports grew for a second straight month in December, though labor-intensive industries remain under strain from high US tariffs.

Exports rose 1.9% in December from a year earlier to $38.51 billion, data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed Thursday. In November, exports had jumped 19.4%, the fastest pace in more than three years. The resilience was largely supported by India’s push into markets in the Middle East and North Africa, ministry data showed.
