India Signals US Trade Deal Even as Minister Says It Won’t Rush

India is close to finalizing a trade deal with the United States, as both sides near agreement on most issues, a government official said, even as the trade minister emphasized New Delhi will not rush into any pact.

There has been a convergence of most issues and a deal is in sight, the official, who asked not to be identified as the discussions were private, told reporters in New Delhi. Earlier, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said India will not be pressured to finalize agreements.
