India Exempts Imports of Some Chemicals From Customs Duty

India’s finance ministry cut customs duty on imports of 40 chemical products to nil, according to a gazette notification dated April 1.

  • The notification is effective from April 2 to June 30
  • Items include ammonium nitrate, polyurethanes, polycarbonates, anhydrous ammonia, methanol, polypropylene, and polystyrene among others
