India is considering cutting tariffs on high-end motorcycles to zero, people familiar with the matter said, as New Delhi strategizes on how to cut a trade deal with President Donald Trump without conceding too much of its own protectionism.

The Narendra Modi-led administration is mulling a proposal to scrap import duties on motorbikes with engine capacity of 750cc or more, according to people familiar with the internal discussions who did not want to be identified.
