Hyundai’s Top US Lobbyist to Depart After One Year in Key Role

Hyundai Motor Group’s top US lobbyist is leaving his role after a year on the job, a significant departure as the automaker contends with punishing tariffs and unpredictable policy swings under President Donald Trump.

Drew Ferguson, a former Republican Congressman who has overseen government affairs for Hyundai and its affiliate Kia in the US since last May, will depart at the end of this month.

Ferguson cited new professional opportunities and his desire to spend more time with his family for the decision to exit. The change doesn’t stem from any “disagreement with the company’s direction,” he said ...
