Hungary Joins Nations Banning Export of Trump-Backed Virus Drug

Hungary banned the export of hydroxychloroquine during its coronavirus-triggered state of emergency after President Donald Trump touted the malaria medicine as a potential “game changer.”

Prime Minister Viktor Orban signed a government decree on Wednesday banning the export of hydroxychloroquine sulfate as a drug, except for government-approved humanitarian missions or sales abroad that don’t endanger the national stockpile.
