Imports of certain height-adjustable desk platforms, designed to allow users to work while standing up, will be investigated to determine whether they infringe upon a company’s patents, the International Trade Commission announced April 20.
Varidesk LLC of Coppell, Texas, alleged that the imports infringe upon the company’s patents in violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. Varidesk asked the ITC to issue an exclusion order and cease and desist orders to prevent the allegedly infringing products from being imported, marketed or sold in the U.S.
