Grain Handler Andersons Sees Bumper Crops Fueling 2022 Profit

The Andersons Inc., one of the five largest U.S. grain traders, expects big harvests later this year to drive profit in 2022 as the company expands its global reach.

Demand for North American farm products should “remain strong,” Chief Executive Pat Bowe said in a statement. Andersons posted second-quarter earnings after the market closed on Tuesday that beat the average analyst estimate, with year-on-year profits higher across businesses including trading, ethanol and fertilizer.
