Mexico Retail Giant Names Fernández Garza-Laguera as New CEO (1)

Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB, the Mexican Coca-Cola bottler and convenience store operator, has chosen Jose Antonio Fernández Garza-Lagüera as the company’s new chief executive officer starting November 1.

For the past two years, Femsa’s Jose Antonio Fernández Carbajal, chairman of the board of directors, has held the interim CEO post. Former CEO Daniel Rodríguez Cofré resigned in July 2023 to undergo cancer treatment and died a month later.
