FDA Sets Uniform Date for Food Labeling Rules

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Dec. 15 announced that it had established Jan. 1, 2014, as the uniform compliance date for food labeling regulations issued between Jan. 1, 2011, and Dec. 31, 2012 (75 Fed. Reg. 78,155). To minimize the economic impact of label changes, FDA periodically announces uniform compliance dates for new food labeling requirements On Dec. 8, 2008, FDA established Jan. 2, 2012, as the uniform compliance date for food labeling regulations issued between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2010.
