F5 to Face Trade Complaint Seeking Networking Gear Ban

A patent-infringement complaint that seeks to block imports of F5 Networks products will be considered by the U.S. International Trade Commission.

  • Closely held Proven Networks claims F5 is infringing a patent for ways to manage data flow in networks, the agency said in a notice on its website
  • NOTE: The initial complaint also had named Arista, Aruba Networks, Cisco Systems, Dell, Juniper Networks and Palo Alto Networks, but Proven Networks withdrew claims against those companies
