Eighty House Democrats Urge Biden to Ease Cuba Restrictions

Eighty U.S. House Democrats urged President Joe Biden to “promptly” reverse his predecessor’s “cruel policies against the Cuban people” and renew a productive dialogue with the island’s communist government.

“With the stroke of a pen, you can assist struggling Cuban families and promote a more constructive approach by promptly returning to the Obama–Biden Administration policy of engagement and normalization of relations,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Biden that was dated Tuesday.
