Consumer Companies Warn of Sales Headwinds, Delays From Iran War

Less than a week into the Iran war, consumer companies are already beginning to predict an impact on their business.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co., which has sourcing operations in the Middle East, is anticipating a “slight sales headwind” from the widening conflict, Chief Financial Officer Robert Ball said on the company’s earnings call Wednesday. The New Albany, Ohio-based company has several stores in the region, including in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
