Responding to petitions filed by Whirlpool Corp., the Commerce Department April 19 announced the launch of antidumping and countervailing duty probes on imports of bottom mount refrigerators from Korea and an antidumping investigation into those from Mexico (Bottom Mount Refrigerators from Korea and Mexico).
Alleged dumping margins for Korea range from 34.16 percent to 61.82 percent, Commerce said in a fact sheet. For Mexico, the alleged dumping margins range from 23.10 percent to 183.18 percent. The alleged subsidy rate is above de minimis.
