Chinese Curtain Wall Units Will Face U.S. Duties

Imports of aluminum “curtain wall” units from China will face U.S. antidumping and countervailing duties, a federal appeals court ruled March 18.

Curtain walls are non-structural cladding added to buildings. Curtain wall units fall within the scope of antidumping and countervailing duty orders on Chinese aluminum extrusions, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed.

The ruling, following years of intensive litigation, is a loss for Jangho Curtain Wall Americas Co. and Permasteelisa Hong Kong Ltd.
