China issued a sharp warning to the European Union hours before a meeting to discuss potential EU curbs on Chinese exports, setting the stage for a renewed trade barb between the economies.
Beijing will deploy immediate countermeasures if the EU pushes ahead with its proposed tools targeting Chinese industrial overcapacity, according to a Friday post on Yuyuantantian, a social-media account affiliated with state broadcaster CCTV.
