China Agrees to Option for 750 Boeing Planes, Trump Says

President Donald Trump said China had made a promise to buy 750 planes from Boeing Co. if they are satisfied with an initial smaller order, as part of a multibillion-dollar deal to purchase US-made commercial jets.

Trump said that at his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping they “made a lot of great trade deals, including over 200 planes for Boeing, with a promise of 750 planes.”

Trump said China agreed to add to the order “if they do a good job with the 200.” The president did not specify which models of Boeing jets Chinese airlines would be ordering. ...
