Chile, Estonia, Israel, Slovenia Join OECD

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development May 27 welcomed into the group a quartet of new nations—Chile, Estonia, Israel and Slovenia—during the organization’s annual ministerial meeting in Paris.

Chile formally joined the organization May 7 following a year of work with OECD on banking reforms and tax evasion issues (6 DTR I-3, 1/12/10). The other three nations joined following May 10 invitations from OECD (48 DTR I-4, 3/15/10), the organization said in a notice.
