CBP Announces Opening of Final Three Processing Centers of Excellence, Expertise

The last three Centers of Excellence and Expertise trade processing centers planned by U.S. Customs and Border Protection are now open, Customs announced June 3.

The agency said that the launch of the final three CEEs—covering agriculture and prepared products in Miami, apparel, footwear and textiles in San Francisco, and consumer products and mass merchandising in Atlanta—represents an important milestone for the agency’s trade transformation efforts.

The centers will provide one-stop processing for participating importers, lower business costs, provide greater predictability and enhance enforcement efforts.
