Canada Forges Ahead With ‘Rules-Based’ Trade: Supply Lines

Canada’s attempts to diversify trade away from the US and find willing partners are picking up speed, according to Maninder Sidhu, the country’s international trade minister.

Speaking with Bloomberg Television on Tuesday from Singapore, where he’s attending a Canada-in-Asia Conference before moving on to Vietnam, Sidhu rattled off a list of negotiations and investment pursuits spearheaded by Ottawa. They’re all part of Canada’s broader goal of boosting non-US exports by C$300 billion, he said.
