Biden Sanctions Two Operating Russian LNG Export Plants (1)

The US sanctioned two of Russia’s active liquefied natural gas export plants in a flurry of energy restrictions aimed at weakening Russia’s war machine against Ukraine.

Gazprom PJSC’s Portovaya LNG export plant and the Novatek PJSC-led Vysotsk LNG facility, both on the Baltic Sea coast, were listed Friday along with several gas tanker ships. Russia’s biggest plants for exporting the fuel, Yamal LNG and Sakhalin-2, weren’t included.
