Azerbaijan Seeks to Export Gas to Slovakia, Hungary This Year

Azerbaijan plans to start exporting natural gas to Slovakia and Hungary at the end of this year if all inter-connectors are in place, President Ilham Aliyev said on Tuesday.

• The Caspian Sea nation currently sells gas to six countries — Georgia, Turkey, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania — and plans to export the fuel to at least four more countries, Aliyev said in a broadcast by state television channel AzTV, during his visit to the Bulgarian capital
