Anti-Subsidy Duties on Turkish Rebar Draw Legal Challenges

Two Turkish manufacturers brought separate legal challenges in the U.S. Court of International Trade to U.S. countervailing duty rates on steel concrete reinforcing bars.

The U.S. imported an estimated $511.9 million worth of rebar from Turkey in 2016, according to the Commerce Department. The department recently completed a periodic countervailing duty review of these imports, covering shipments that entered the U.S. in 2016.
