TransUnion Owes Startup $18 Million for Breaching Software Deal

TransUnion must pay Ohio insurance-technology startup Endless River Technologies LLC $18.3 million for breaching a software contract by failing to return source code for the online markeplace as the deal required, a federal jury said.

Jurors in the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio awarded damages for TransUnion LLC’s failure to return the source code for Quote Exchange upon its 2018 termination of a contract for Endless River to build the software. The verdict was reached Sept. 16 and posted Monday to the court’s electronic docket.
