Tinder Says Insurance Broker Marsh Was Late Reporting Claim (1)

Dating app company Tinder accused insurance broker Marsh of failing to report a claim to Tinder’s insurer until after the policy expired, causing the company to lose coverage and pay nearly $4 million in legal costs.

Marsh violated its broker services agreement by failing to notify a Beazley Plc unit of a claim against Tinder before the policy expired in August 2016, Tinder said in a complaint Tuesday in the New York Supreme Court, New York County.
