Shari Redstone, Insurers End Dispute Over Viacom-CBS Merger Suit

Media executive Shari Redstone and a pair of insurers agreed to dismiss claims over coverage for shareholder litigation stemming from the 2019 merger of Viacom Inc. and CBS Corp.

The dismissal of claims involving units of Sompo Holdings Inc. and Starr International Co., the last remaining defendants, would end the 2022 suit brought by Redstone, a former Viacom director, according to the Monday stipulation filed in the Delaware Superior Court.
