A Florida real estate broker sued her insurers, including a Markel Group Inc. unit, alleging they wrongfully denied coverage for several state actions accusing her and other defendants of misleading consumers.
Markel American Insurance Co. and Houston Specialty Insurance Co. were obligated under their respective policies to provide a defense and coverage for the underlying lawsuits against Amanda Zachman, she said in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
