QBE Insurers Dismiss Silica Injury Coverage Case Against Costco

QBE Insurance Group Ltd. units ended their suit against Costco Wholesale Corp. over coverage for litigation related to artificial stone products, shortly after dropping a related case against Home Depot USA Inc.

After the insurers filed suit, Costco indicated “that it does not assert status as an insured” under policies issued to a manufacturer whose products were sold by the retailer, Regent Insurance Co. and General Casualty Co. of Wisconsin said in a notice of voluntary dismissal filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
