Central Mutual Insurance Co. must compensate a Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based distillery for dozens of barrels of whiskey lost when storage racks unexpectedly collapsed, a federal court ruled.
The policy issued to Vale Fox Distillery LLC provides coverage for the lost whiskey, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a Tuesday order, though the court declined for now to determine how to calculate the value of the covered losses.
