NY Archdiocese Loses Bid to Keep Mediation Documents From Chubb

The Archdiocese of New York failed to convince a state court that it can withhold documents related to global mediation over child sexual abuse claims from Chubb Ltd. units defending the Catholic organization.

A special discovery master’s referee decision in March ordering the archdiocese to turn over documents to Chubb related to its global settlement efforts wasn’t erroneous or contrary to law, Judge Lori S. Sattler of the New York Supreme Court, New York County ruled in an order Monday.
