A pair of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. units sued a Florida-based bail bonds company, seeking a judgment that the carriers have no duty to cover underlying sex trafficking litigation.
Policy exclusions for expected or intended injury, knowing violation of another’s rights, and criminal acts barred coverage for Moncrief Bail Bonds Inc. in the trafficking suit, according to a June 12 complaint by Allied Property & Casualty Insurance Co. and Nationwide Insurance Co. of Florida in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
