Nationwide, Fast Food Operators Settle Privacy Coverage Suit

Illinois Taco Bell franchisees agreed to settle in a case brought by two Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. units over coverage for litigation alleging violations of the state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act.

Amco Insurance Co. and Depositors Insurance Co. notified the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois in a Feb. 28 filing of the parties’ agreement in principle to settle.
