Munich Re Insurer Drops Coverage Case Against Ghost Gun Seller

A Munich Re unit is dropping its suit against an online seller of firearm parts, an associated consulting business, and the owner of both companies over insurance coverage for litigation related to a 2023 mass shooting in Philadelphia.

The owner, Chad Myers, and his companies concede that the operative pleadings in the underlying cases don’t trigger coverage, according to a joint stipulation of dismissal without prejudice filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
