Moscow Should Be Forum for Fight Over Seized Jets, Say Insurers

Moscow not London is the appropriate forum for any litigation over compensation for the hundreds of jets seized by Russia, say insurers who are contesting billions of dollars in claims from aircraft leasing firms.

Firms including AerCap Holdings NV are suing insurers in London’s High Court after airlines in Russia refused to return jets leased to them when those contracts were terminated as a result of sanctions imposed in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
