Meta, Insurers Double Down on Forum Fight in Social Media Case

Meta Platforms Inc.'s liability insurers are accusing the social media giant of engaging in a “forum gambit” to evade a Delaware state court’s jurisdiction in a coverage dispute over social media addiction suits.

The social media company has taken “extraordinary efforts” to prevent the Delaware court from reaching the merits of the dispute, and its motion to stay or dismiss the suit should be denied, units of Hartford Insurance Group Inc. and Chubb Ltd. said in their latest filing with the Delaware Superior Court.
