Meta Appeals Social Media Addiction Liability Insurance Ruling

Meta Platforms Inc. seeks to revive its case against its liability insurers, including units of Hartford Insurance Group Inc. and Chubb Ltd., for protection from legal claims that the social media giant got children hooked on its platforms.

Meta on Thursday asked the Delaware Supreme Court to review a February decision from a trial court which found its liability insurers had no duty to defend against thousands of “public nuisance” claims.
