Manulife Hires HSBC Canada’s Head of Capital Markets Loh

Manulife Financial Corp. hired David Loh, the head of capital markets at HSBC Securities Canada, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Loh will be the firm’s head of funding and report to Manulife’s global head of treasury Stephanie Fadous, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the matter is private. Loh departed a few weeks ago as HSBC’s Canadian unit is being acquired by Royal Bank of Canada in a deal that could create overlap in several divisions.
