Lloyds Deputy Treasurer Shrimpton to Leave the Bank Next Month

Lloyds Banking Group Plc deputy treasurer Richard Shrimpton is leaving the bank at the end of September after more than 16 years, he said in a post on LinkedIn.

He started his career at the now defunct HBOS that was taken over by Lloyds in January 2009. He helped steer the bank during the global financial crisis when he was head of capital management, before going on to lead capital issuance and structuring. During that period, he worked on the bank’s enhanced capital notes — loss-absorbing bonds seen as a precursor to today’s Additional Tier 1 securities.
