Liberty Unit Must Face Lawyer’s Misrepresentation Insurance Row

A Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. unit must face a Maryland attorney’s lawsuit seeking payment for legal defense costs in an underlying suit from Johns Hopkins Health System Corp. alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Kimberly D. Reed has demonstrated that the underlying suit could be covered by her former law firm’s professional liability policy with Ironshore Specialty Insurance Co., Judge Deborah K. Chasanow of the US District Court for the District of Maryland said in a Monday opinion.
