Law Firm Sues Insurers Seeking Coverage Over Cyber Incident

A law firm in Washington state is suing its insurers alleging they breached their contract and acted in bad faith by failing to pay a $1.5 million claim arising from a cyber incident.

Connelly Law Offices purchased a cyber risk insurance policy from Cowbell Cyber Inc. and Spinnaker Insurance Co. providing $1 million in coverage for security breach liability, according to the law firm’s suit against the insurers filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
