KKR’s Global Atlantic Unit Loses Veteran Insurance Executive Lee

KKR & Co.’s insurance unit lost a longtime executive who helped build the business from its days as a reinsurance operation inside Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Kim Lee — who served as chief financial officer of Global Atlantic before moving into a strategic role in August — has left the firm.

A representative for KKR confirmed Lee’s departure, and he declined to comment.

Lee joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an analyst in its financial institutions group and moved to the reinsurance arm in 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile. He climbed the ranks and became CFO of ...
