KB Financial Unit Wins Insurance Dispute Over Store Stabbing

A KB Financial Group Inc. unit won an insurance dispute after a federal appeals court said the company has no obligation to provide coverage to the owner of a Philadelphia deli where a customer was stabbed.

Kookmin Best Insurance Co. isn’t on the hook for injuries that happened at the deli because the issue was already decided in a separate state court action, and the commercial general liability policy bars coverage for assault, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said Tuesday.
