Insurers are seeking to knock out a lawsuit from an Apollo Global Management Inc.-backed specialty grocery chain seeking coverage for alleged misrepresentations made by another grocer it acquired in 2023.

Heritage Grocers Group LLC’s primary and excess insurers—including units of Zurich Insurance Group AG, Swiss Re AG, and Chubb Ltd.—on Tuesday asked the Delaware Superior Court to dismiss breach-of-contract and bad-faith claims, arguing the grocery chain failed to allege facts supporting its case.
