Insurer Appeals AMC Investor Deal Ruling to Delaware High Court

Midvale Indemnity Co. is seeking to appeal a Delaware court’s ruling opening the door to insurance coverage for AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc.'s settlement with investors.

The insurer filed its notice of appeal Thursday in the Delaware Supreme Court.

• The Delaware Superior Court’s February ruling found that the AMC-issued shares paid out in the settlement constituted potentially covered losses under the insurance policy.
• Midvale is also appealing a final judgment against it for $5 million, which was agreed to by the parties to enable the appeal.
