A Florida federal judge shot down a lawsuit brought by disgraced billionaire Greg Lindberg against North Carolina’s Department of Insurance over the receivership of his assets.
“This action appears to be procedural fencing by Plaintiff, who has been unhappy with his outcomes in North Carolina,” Judge Tom Barber of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said in a Wednesday order dismissing the suit.
The former investment firm executive and insurance mogul pleaded guilty in November to a $2 billion fraud and money laundering scheme, and was previously convicted in federal court of bribery.
