ING Plans Potential SRT Tied to €5 Billion of Corporate Loans

ING Groep NV is in talks with investors about a significant risk transfer, according to people familiar with the matter, as lenders ramp up sales of the instruments which can bolster their ability to withstand unexpected shocks.

The largest bank in the Netherlands is considering an SRT deal tied to a portfolio of about €5 billion ($5.8 billion) of corporate loans, said the people, who asked not to be named because the matter is private. The potential transaction is at an early stage and terms are subject to discussions with investors, they said.
