Humana Pulls 2025 Guidance as Medicare Outlook Gets Murkier

Humana Inc. pulled its 2025 guidance amid mounting pressures in its Medicare business.

The insurer’s management said they don’t believe the $6 to $10 of adjusted earnings-per-share growth for 2025 “is the appropriate target range” anymore. Management did not provide new outlook for next year saying it needs “greater clarity.”

In January, Humana slashed its outlook for 2024 and 2025 on unexpectedly high medical costs and lower payments from the US government.
