HSBC Hires Goldman’s Xu to Lead Europe Financials Credit Trading

HSBC Holdings Plc has hired Lawrence Xu from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as its head of European financials credit trading, according to people familiar with the matter.

London-based Xu will start next week and report to Ben Hasted, head of European investment-grade credit trading, two of the people said.

A spokesperson at HSBC confirmed the hire. Representatives at Goldman Sachs declined to comment. Xu did not respond to a message on LinkedIn seeking comment.
