Hartford Insurer Beats RV Company’s Appeal Over Transfer Fraud

A recreational vehicle company lost a bid to revive its case seeking coverage from a Hartford Insurance Group Inc. unit for money it fraudulently paid to someone posing as a contractor.

Twin City Fire Insurance Co.'s crime insurance policy barred it from paying the entire amount of Blue Compass RV LLC’s loss, the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said in an unpublished opinion Friday, affirming a lower court’s decision.
