A firearm company pushed to preserve its suit against a W. R. Berkley Corp. insurance unit over coverage for litigation tied to a 2022 school shooting in Washington, D.C, telling an Indiana federal court it should reject a favorable ruling for a different carrier in California.

The California district court’s March 6 ruling in James River Insurance Co. v. SureFire LLC is inapplicable to the dispute with Admiral Insurance Co. because it applied a different state’s insurance law and standard of review, FosTecH Inc. said in a Thursday filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. ...
